Dr. Nanthaporn Prae Seributra, CEO of Starfish Education, shared her vision with other EdTech leaders at an event for the Bett Asia Roadshow 2022 which was held at the Athenee Hotel in Bangkok on April 27th, 2022.
H.E. Mr. Mark Gooding OBE, British Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, delivered a welcome speech to the distinguished guests. Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Education of Thailand, joined the opening remarks via videocall to discuss cooperation between the Ministries of Education of the United Kingdom and Thailand to co-host the world-class educational technology conference Bett Asia 2022 Roadshow in October 2022 in Bangkok.
The goal of the Bett Asia 2022 Roadshow is to spark collaboration between educators around the world to join forces and address educational problems, to help develop teachers' potential to manage teaching and learning for students effectively and efficiently, and to build quality global citizens of the future.
The event also included a discussion of 'Education as a catalyst for change: a cross-sector perspective', with leaders from higher education and K-12 institutions to explore how innovation and EdTech are used to power education recovery in Thailand and Southeast Asia, with collaboration between public and private educators as the catalyst for this change.
Other participants included moderator Mr. Ben Morley, Thailand Country Director of the U.K Department for International Trade; John Gwyn Jones, CEO of the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA); Dr Kritsachai Somsaman, Deputy Director for Administration and Communication, Southeast Asia Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO); and Dr. Seributra.
